Swimmy (Knopf Children's Paperbacks) の感想

A Caldecott Honor recipient, SWIMMY by Leo Lionni is noteable for its beautiful illustrations using a lovely blend of painting, printing and collage. The story, too, is a winner: A resilient little black fish who uses his resources not only to regain his courage, but to help other little fish like himself. Instead of giving up and cowering in the dark, he thinks and thinks until he comes up with a startlingly effctive plan. I also found it in Japanese in my second grader`s kokugo primer. This English version might serve as a valuable resource for those who are studying English, especially youngsters.
