I am still struggling to understand the background of the story. It seems that Ed and Al are not exactly knights in shining armor and that they have their own agenda to attend to. However, Ed has something to do with the state but wants some distance between him and the state. On the other hand, there are government officials who believe what they are doing is right and apparent villains…

Better understood the story in this volume that in the previous volume, though…
