This is pure excellence! Throw yakuza vs. cops, full-on eccentricity, scintillating bad taste, captivating goofiness, sexual incompetence, non-stop action, hilarious off-the-wall situations in a big blender and hand it over to Takashi Miike for a vigorous stir: the result is breathtaking Entertainment with a capital E.
Wicked plot aside, full marks go to the truly gifted Ikuta Toma, who once again seems to fit into his character like a glove. Who would have thought that the cute-faced teen once singing and dancing (beautifully) alongside Yamashita Tomoshisa would turn out to be one of the best, most versatile actors in Japan, capable to handle drama, romance and comedy with equal dexterity. Bravo!

どう考えても漫画チックな展開にもかかわらず
贅沢なキャスト、大掛かりなセットと画面が
ちょっと不釣り合いな一作。

クドカンだけに話が面白くないわけではないが
テレビドラマくらいで十分ではないだろうか？
